Tragedy struck the community of Uvalde on May 24th, 2022, when a devastating incident unfolded at Robb Elementary School, resulting in the loss of 19 innocent children and two beloved teachers. The events that transpired on that fateful day, as well as the subsequent response and aftermath, have raised serious concerns about the safety and security measures in place.
Following the incident, the then-Mayor of Uvalde reached out to the Justice Department, urging them to conduct an independent review to shed light on what went wrong and how such a horrific event could have occurred.
