Justice delayed, give it now, say Kashmiri Pandits

NEW DELHI: The third generation of a displaced Kashmiri Hindu family, which was forced out of the Valley during the insurgency in the nineties, 22-year-old Simran Sathoo is hopeful that someday, someone from her family will get the justice they have been seeking and see their ancestral home again.

Participating in a protest against “Kashmiri Hindus’ genocide” at Jantar Mantar on Friday with a placard in her hand that read, “When will our genocide end?”, Sathoo was among many young protesters who were well aware that their families once had a “home in Kashmir” and that they “were pushed out of the Valley as victims of brutality”.
