Just Eat records 145,000 Christmas Day orders amid festive panic-buying

Just Eat says it received 145,000 orders on Christmas Day with panic-buying grocery orders accounting for 40% of deliveries, including last-minute turkey orders.

Grocery and Chinese takeaway orders also helped to drive demand in December for the online delivery platform, with more than 17 million orders placed overall.
