Jeff Stelling sends on-air apology after comments about Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp
Jeff Stelling has apologised for comments he made about Jurgen Klopp on Saturday afternoon having originally questioned the amount of time the Liverpool boss has been dedicating to media appearances.
The German, like many of his players, has had his fair share of critics after Reds' poor start to the season which has left the team trailing both Arsenal and Manchester City by a considerable distance just three months into the campaign.
Never afraid to own up and take responsibility, Klopp has owned up to his team's below-par displays this term while recognising time remains for a change in fortunes to occur.
A common criticism of Klopp in recent weeks has been remaining loyal to a number of first-team players who are no longer deserving of starting roles within the team, though a fresh accusation was made by Stelling on Sky Sports in relation to how the former Borussia Dortmund boss is spending his time away from the sidelines.
Speaking this afternoon [Saturday], making reference to a recently released YouTube video involving Klopp at the Reds' AXA Training Centre, the Sky Sports host said : "I have to say, Jurgen Klopp is very generous, very generous with his time for the media. They're down in ninth place, they've lost against Leeds, should he be spending so much time with the media?

'Chasing ghosts' - Liverpool fans make Youri Tielemans point after Leicester beat Everton
Youri Tielemans added another spectacular strike to his collection on Saturday evening after opening the scoring for Leicester City in their 2-0 victory against Everton.
Renowned for his long-range shooting ability, the Belgian midfielder showcased his talent in this area of the pitch during a 4-0 away win at Wolves two weeks ago and produced another moment of magic versus the Toffees on the stroke of half-time.
Collecting a pass from James Maddison on the edge of the area, Tielemans took one touch to control the ball before sending an unstoppable effort past Jordan Pickford into the top left corner of the goal.
Ever since arriving in the Premier League in January 2019, the 25-year-old has continued to prove his quality and played a key role in Brendan Rodgers' side winning the FA Cup in 2021.
Transfer speculation has continued to surround the Anderlecht academy graduate, with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool being linked with a move for Leicester's star man.
The Reds' need for new recruits in the midfield department is no secret and with Tielemans a matter of months away from being a free agent, Liverpool fans have urged FSG to take action in the transfer market to bring the Belgian to Anfield either in January or next summer.
