Jurgen Klopp believes it will take time for both Liverpool and Manchester City to get the best out of their marquee summer signings of Darwin Nunez and Erling Haaland.
City matched Haaland's £51m release clause in his Borussia Dortmund contract earlier this year before the Reds landed Nunez from Benfica for an initial £64m sum after Sadio Mane made it known he was seeking a fresh challenge with Bayern Munich in June.
The arrival of both centre-forwards could mark a shift in the respective approaches of both Klopp and his City counterpart Pep Guardiola as they seek to extract the full potential of the powerful frontmen.
