Jurgen Klopp's dream Liverpool XI with four new signings on first day of next season

Liverpool had a season to forget and attention has now turned to how they can improve next term.

A fifth place finish means to Champions League and they will instead had to endure the difficulties of Europa League scheduling, which will prove challenging. Their poor campaign owed much to an inconsistent chunk of the season that saw their flaws continuously exposed.

Midfield has been cited as their major area of weakness following several transfer windows of neglect. The players were allowed to age with no fresh faces coming in and, suddenly, the intensity that once existed looked to have gone missing.

That will need to be addressed through the coming weeks with their midfield heavily impacting on their defence. In attack Jurgen Klopp is nicely set, but behind that he needs more creativity as well as players who are willing to put in the miles and press in a way that eases the burden on the defence.

Several names, some of which are already in the Premier League, have been linked with moves to Anfield and we take a look at how Klopp's Reds could line-up should they get their transfer business done successfully.
