Jurgen Klopp's Divock Origi comments prove EA Sports wrong with poor FIFA 22 attribute

Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp has claimed that striker Divock Origi is the club's 'best finisher' after his heroic cameo against Everton, but his finishing attribute on FIFA 22 tells a very different story.

At 0-0 in a tense Merseyside derby, Klopp looked to the bench for inspiration, opting to bring on Origi for just his sixth Premier League appearance of the season. With five goals in his career against the Toffees, history was on Origi's side, and the Belgian played a part in Liverpool's first goal before scoring the second to secure a 2-0 win over their rivals.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Klopp said: "He's our best finisher, definitely – he always was, and everybody [at Liverpool] would say the same."

Despite only playing 96 minutes in the Premier League for Liverpool this season, Origi currently has three goals from his six appearances off the bench - his longest cameo being his 30 minutes against Everton. His three goals have backed up Klopp's claims, showing how clinical the Belgian can be when called upon.

But, when compared to other players at Liverpool and in the Premier League on FIFA 22, Origi's finishing attribute is low-rated, highlighting how underrated of an attribute it is. In FIFA 22, Origi is rated 76 out of 99 overall, making him the joint-20th best player at the club.

In-game, Origi's finishing is only rated 76 out of a possible 99, with six players at the club having a higher-rated finishing rating, including Japanese forward Takumi Minamino. Minamino's finishing is rated 77 out of 99, whilst Mohamed Salah is the highest, with the Egyptian's finishing rated 93 out of 99.

Sadio Mane (86), Diogo Jota (86), Luis Diaz (80) and Roberto Firmino (78) are the other players at Liverpool with a higher-rated finishing attribute, whilst Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson are just below Origi, rated 74 and 73 respectively.

Incredibly, when compared to other players in the Premier League, Origi's finishing in FIFA 22 looks even worse. Everton duo Dele Alli and Anwar El Ghazi both have a higher finishing stat with the former rated at 80 out of 99, despite the duo having a total of two Premier League goals combined this season.
