Jadon Sancho has endured a difficult two years at Manchester United following his £73million move from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.
The 23-year-old has struggled for goals while donning the red of United and while he has been nowhere near as consistent as he was in Dortmund, there have been flashes of his talent. Goals against the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool last season prove he can be a man for the big occasion.
Speaking of the Reds, manager Jurgen Klopp is a known admirer of Sancho and his talent. Though the pair never crossed paths at Dortmund, with Klopp leaving long before Sancho was even there, he has gone on the record in confessing he is a fan.
Back when United and Liverpool were both linked with Sancho in the summer of 2020, Klopp was open about the fact that his club would struggle to meet Dortmund's asking price given the Reds were still reeling financially from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
"I don't think such a transfer will be possible this season," the German admitted, though he did add: "The red shirt [of Liverpool] would suit [him] very well."
Some sections of the Anfield faithful hoped at the time that Liverpool would go back in for Sancho the following summer, but attentions shifted elsewhere and eventually United won the race for his signature.

However, fast forward two years and with things having not gone to plan, there is now fresh speculation suggesting that United are looking to sell Sancho this summer.
Manager Erik ten Hag is looking to make some huge signings this window and will need to part ways with sellable assets to do so.
It is believed that those at the top of the United hierarchy view Sancho as one of those assets and could even accept a bid as low as £45m for the England international.
With that being said, there is little to no chance Sancho joins Klopp at Liverpool even if leaving Old Trafford is on the agenda. It is unlikely United would deal with their fierce rivals over such a transfer and in truth the Reds probably harbour very little interest themselves.
Sancho started 21 games under Ten Hag in the league alone last season, during which time he was deployed both on the left wing and right wing. He scored just six goals and assisted three in that time.
Whether he remains in Manchester next term or tries his hand elsewhere, Sancho simply has to improve on those numbers or risk his stock falling even further.
