Jurgen Klopp is hopeful Liverpool forward Diogo Jota will be passed fit to face Tottenham Hotspur despite suffering a 'bad knock' in the win at West Ham on Wednesday.
The Portuguese, who had scored braces against both Leeds United and Nottingham Forest in the Reds past two matches, was on the receiving end of a heavy challenge from behind from Vladimir Coufal minutes before West Ham's early opener in Liverpool's midweek win. While the 26-year-old would play on, he was replaced shortly before the hour-mark against the Hammers.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of the Reds' clash with Spurs, Klopp admitted Liverpool will need to take a look at the issue before making his decision. However, the German shared his hope that Jota, who has started all of the Reds' past five games since the March international break, will be passed fit.

"Diogo got a bad knock in his back in the last but should be alright," Klopp told reporters. "We will see how that developed. Other than that, we should be okay."
Ibrahima Konate missed Liverpool's win over West Ham, but Klopp confirmed the Frenchman will be available to return against Spurs, while he also confirmed that Naby Keita is in line to return to training on Friday. However, he also revealed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently sidelined while Roberto Firmino remains unavailable for Sunday's game at Anfield.
"Ibou will be back. I guess Naby will train today," he said. "Didn’t get the medical report yet but probably.
"Ox isn’t training. No-one else so we have a couple of players out but everyone knows about them."
