Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp "expects" the FA to come down hard on him amid their investigation into his showdown with Paul Tierney.
The German was at the heart of a contentious incident with the referee in the aftermath of Sunday’s dramatic, late win against Tottenham at Anfield. He celebrated wildly in front of the fourth official John Brooks, whilst he had a number of choice words for referee Paul Tierney come the full-time whistle.
He was booked during the match for his remonstrations after a suspected foul on Liverpool star Mo Salah. Since then, it has been claimed that the FA is set to launch an investigation into the incident.
Klopp could be dealt another FA ban if he is found guilty of crossing the line. He suggests that he is anticipating a potential suspension having been banned for a similar situation against Manchester City earlier in the campaign.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of Wednesday's clash with Fulham, Klopp said: "It's not in my hands what's going on now. We won a football game 4-3 in a spectacular manner and all the headlines we had, I created. I really regret that. It was not necessary and not how it should be.
"We expect a reaction because everyone tells us something will come. But we haven’t heard yet from the FA or the refs.

"I probably have to expect a punishment. I think the refs think I questioned the integrity. In the moment sitting here, when I’m calm, I don’t do that. Of course not. But in that moment, I just described my feelings.
"Funnily enough, the red card I received against City was in pretty much the same spot, same player, Mo Salah involved. Then it was Bernardo Silva with the clear foul. But it wasn't whistled. We have to wait to see what they come back with."
While admitting that he could potentially have to deal with the consequences, Klopp has shown remorse following the incident.
He added: "The whole situation shouldn’t have happened. It was out of emotion and anger in that moment.
"That was why I celebrated the way I did. There was the situation with the no foul on Mo [Salah]. It happened directly in front of my eyes. Then their goal. A minute later we scored, it should have been a moment where I was just happy, but unfortunately, I was still kind of angry."
A decision looks highly unlikely to be made in time for Liverpool's clash with Fulham on Wednesday, meaning Klopp will be on the sidelines either way. It may be a different matter entirely for this weekend's game with Brentford at Anfield.
