Jurgen Klopp admits Diogo Jota’s latest injury setback is “a concern” as he dismissed fears of a fitness blow for Joe Gomez.
Jota underwent tests on Thursday amid fears he aggravated a previous hamstring issue during the previous evening’s training session in Singapore.
The Portugal international had missed Tuesday’s 4-0 friendly defeat to Manchester United in Bangkok with the Reds careful over his fitness having picked up an injury when on international duty last month.

Jota sat out Friday’s friendly against Crystal Palace and was joined by Gomez, who had walked out early from Thursday’s open training.
And Klopp had contrasting injury bulletins when asked about the duo ahead of the game at the Singapore National Stadium.
“Diogo is a concern,” said the Reds boss. “With Diogo it’s a muscle again.
“Joe, no. Joe is just a precaution and not any kind of risk-taking is worth it. He is really good in the pre-season so far; he felt a little bit here and there so we said, ‘okay, then he is out’.”
Alisson Becker was also absent against Palace having not been involved in Thursday’s open training after complaining of discomfort after the session earlier in the day.
And Klopp added: “Ali is not cool as well; it will not be too long but each day Ali is not involved is already too long, to be honest.”
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain limped off just before half-time against Palace, with Liverpool 1-0 thanks to a goal from captain Jordan Henderson.
