Jurassic Park fans stunned and feel 'old' as child star recreates iconic scene aged 43

Jurassic Park is a movie for all ages, but some fans were stunning this week when a former star of the movie recreated an iconic scene.

Ariana Richards was just 13 when she played the role of Lex Murphy in the first edition of the hit franchise.

Her character was the granddaughter of the dinosaur park's eccentric John Hammond, played by Richard Attenborough.

And in a recreation of a popular scene to mark the 30th anniversary of the movie, Ariana is seen with green jelly on a spoon.

In the original scene, Lex and her younger brother Tim (played by Joseph Mazzello) think they’ve escaped a Velociraptor attack and find themselves in the kitchen in the resort where they tuck into a number of delightful looking desserts.

However, it soon becomes apparent that all is not well and the camera pans onto a stunned Lex as she is about to eat a mouthful of jelly.

The pudding wobbles as the dinosaurs approach.

The funny upload, which was shared on the official Jurassic World account on TikTok, had the caption: "A duet 30 years in the making."

It showed a split screen of Ariana acting out the scene as a child and the same scene now.

It was met with an abundance of laughter by fans of the flick.

One user gushed: "That’s the most iconic scene in the Jurassic Park films."

Another added: "I used to do that all the time as a child. Like everytime I had Jello."

However, others were quick to state how old they felt following the upload.

"In a few days Jurassic Park will turn 30 years old," one fan commented as someone else replied: "Wait what no it isn't but it is. damn I'm old."

A second added: "You do not know... how old this made me feel."

And another fan reminisced: ""My mom was pregnant with me when they went to see Jurassic park. They saw the name Ariana in the credits and loved it so they named me Ariana."
