Junior Firpo has become the latest Leeds United player to speak out after the club's relegation to the Championship. The Whites defender admitted to some uncertainty whether or not to post about the club's demise, 11 days after the final day of the season.
Firpo was part of Sam Allardyce's side that was beaten 4-1 by Tottenham Hotspur on the final day of the season. The 26-year-old made 19 appearances in the top flight last season, with a goal and an assist in his second year at Elland Road.
The former Barcelona defender has apologised to supporters for their relegation and thanked those that stuck by them in a dismal campaign. Leeds are preparing for life in the Championship but the Dominican is among a number of players who could leave the club this summer.
Firpo posted on Instagram: "Took me a while to decide if I should say something or not. Finally I'm doing it cause I just want to say that I'm really sorry we couldn't achieve the objective.
