Ernst Tanner, Julian Nagelmann’s close friend and former youth team coach, has offered his opinion on where the German's next move could be. Nagelsmann was sacked by Bayern Munich and replaced by former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel during the international break.
The ex-Bayern head coach has now been linked with a move to north London to replace Antonio Conte at Tottenham. The Italian was relived of his duties last week after just 16 months in charge and has now sent a message to supporters following his exit.
Club chairman Daniel Levy said in a statement: "We have 10 Premier League games remaining and we have a fight on our hands for a Champions League place. We all need to pull together. Everyone has to step up to ensure the highest possible finish for our club and amazing, loyal supporters"

Tanner believes his close friend, Nagelsmann, should take a break before deciding his next move, but sees the English top division as the next 'logical step'. Tanner told SPORT1: "The coaching market is very tight, especially in the top segment, and German coaches are incredibly important abroad.
"So Julian doesn't need to worry about his next job. Despite his young age, he has experienced everything in Germany and I don't know to what extent that still appeals to him.
"Real [Madrid] will definitely be an option again, but in terms of language and interests, I see England as the next and logical step. Whether that has to be Tottenham in all haste, I dare to doubt.
"We have known and trusted each other for 20 years. I would advise him to take a break first, to reflect and not jump too quickly into the next shark tank. He also needs the time to regenerate and to prepare well for the next station."
Spurs have now made contact with Nagelsmann over their vacant managerial position, according to Sky Germany. The former Bayern boss is thought to be taking time over a decision about his future despite reports also linking him to Real Madrid - with Carlo Ancelotti rumoured to become Brazil's next manager.
A report from the Daily Mail states that Levy has made Nagelsmann his 'top target' to replace Conte at N17 and is seeking clarification from the German as to whether he would be interested in succeeding the Italian at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The 35-year-old's immediate availability, along with the fact that he can be appointed without having to pay compensation, makes him a very attractive prospect.
