Judy Murray shares family's 'signature' sandwich with unusual filling - and fans are divided

Judy Murray has shared her family's favourite sandwich filling - and the combo has left fans divided. The mum of tennis ace Andy took to Twitter to reveal an interesting sandwich combination - fresh strawberries with butter on a roll.

Paired with a snap, her Tweet read: "When your dad makes you his signature “piece” for tea. Strawberry roll. With butter."

Some fans were keen to eager to try the tennis coach's sandwich suggestion: One curious tweeter wrote: "I'm partial to a banana sandwich. Will have to give this a try."

Another read: "I thought this was a bit weird but then I remember really enjoying sliced apple & sugar sandwiches as a treat when I was younger."

But others just could not get on board with the idea of fruit in a sandwich. One adamant reply read: I ‘hearted’ this then ‘unhearted’ this a few times. Sorry Judy, I’m Scottish but I cannot support this entity, strawberries in a roll…just no (lol)."

Interestingly, some people who were weary about trying strawberries admitted to enjoying a typical jam sandwich. "I don’t like strawberries but substitute them for strawberry seedless jam and yummy," wrote one traditionalist.

Murray's tweet inspired others to share their favourite sarnie fillings. Some admitted to enjoying different chocolate bars between two slices of bread. One response read: "Swap the strawberries for a chopped up fry’s cream and thank me later…"

Others spoke of how they like to combine the sweet red fruits with more savoury items. Another read: "Try feta cheese with strawberries. It’s amazing."
