A first Jude Bellingham goal of the 2024/25 season helped Real Madrid claim a 4-0 win against Osasuna on Saturday afternoon. 

The Los Blancos star was visibly relieved to end his surprising 179-day drought. Now, the 21-year-old will look to push on after the international break.

Although 13 may be unlucky for some, that is the number of games it has taken for Bellingham to finally break his 2024/25 duck.

With the pressure beginning to mount, the Jude Bellingham goal against Osasuna will revitalise the midfielder’s morale. And go a long way in silencing his critics.

Bellingham scored Real Madrid’s second with 42 minutes on the clock. Defender Marco Asencio lofted a beautiful ball over the top for the England star to run on to.

After just one bounce, the 21-year-old lobbed the ball over goalkeeper Sergio Herrera to put Los Blancos in control. Fans were then treated to the star’s famous celebration. Which has been very long overdue.

The real hero of the afternoon was Brazilian superstar Vinicius Jr. He helped himself to a stunning Bernabeu hat-trick which means he now has 12 goals in all competitions.

Furthermore, it is the second treble the 24-year-old has hit this season. His first came in the 5-2 UEFA Champions League thrashing against Borussia Dortmund.

His antics on Saturday afternoon will go a small way in glossing over his Ballon d’Or agony. Many believed he should have picked up the prestigious award ahead of Manchester City‘s Rodri.

Los Blancos supporters will be hoping that he and Bellingham can continue to flourish as Carlo Ancelotti’s side aim to get their La Liga hopes back on track.

Fierce rivals FC Barcelona are in action on Sunday night when they take on Real Sociedad. No matter what the outcome, Bellingham will be boosted after his brilliant lobbed effort. Scroll down to watch his effort.
