Boston Celtics made strategic moves in the off-season to strengthen their roster, acquiring Jrue Holiday to enhance their chances of success. Following a deep playoff run the previous season, the front office decided to shake up the core team by trading Marcus Smart for Kristaps Porzingis and later acquiring Holiday in a trade with Portland.
These bold moves paid off as the Celtics enjoyed a successful regular season with 64 wins and dominated the playoffs, currently holding a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals against the Dallas Mavericks. Holiday's defensive prowess and all-around contributions have been instrumental in the team's success, exemplified by his performance in Game 2.
