JPMorgan CEO Quickly Distances Himself From Trump's Endorsement Claim: 'Jamie Has Not Endorsed Anyone'

Former President Donald Trump falsely claimed to receive the endorsement of JPMorgan Chase CEO on Friday, leading a spokesperson to refute the viral social media post.

Trump posted an apparent screenshot of a headline that read, "New: Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan Chase, has endorsed Trump for President," without identifying the reporting outlet.

The source was traced back to roughly ninety minutes earlier on X, where a verified account made the claim, which garnered a thousand reposts within hours.

Joe Evangelisti, spokesperson for Jamie Dimon clarified on a phone call that CNBC that, "Jamie Dimon has not endorsed anyone. He has not endorsed a candidate."

In a Sept. 24 CNBCTV-18 interview, Dimon claimed he had no plans to make an endorsement in the 2024 election.

NBC News' Jake Taylor asked Trump about posting the claim denied by Dimon, to which Trump replied "Somebody put it up, I don't know."

As of 4:00pm E.T. the post remains on Trump's site.
