Cornerback Jourdan Lewis is returning to the Dallas Cowboys on a one-year deal, making 2024 the eighth season he will play with the team. Lewis was drafted by Dallas in 2017 and has spent his entire career with the Cowboys, which included his initial rookie contract and a three-year extension that recently expired.
To announce his return, Lewis took to social media to post a common Vince Carter meme, which was the perfect way to notify the fan base that he was returning.

Lewis has played in 99 games (51 starts) with Dallas, including seven years when he appeared in at least 15 games. The veteran cornerback has totaled 315 tackles and nine interceptions in his career, and is coming off a 2023 campaign when he produced 51 tackles and one pick for the Cowboys.
The Cowboys have had a quiet free agency thus far, but bringing back Lewis is a key move as Dallas goes into next season with new defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer. Lewis will once again slot in at the top of Dallas’s cornerback depth chart, alongside DaRon Bland and Trevon Diggs.
