London Fashion Week boasted star power on the front row this season.
The week was kicked off by one of London’s favourite new designers, Harris Reed, whose designs are loved and worn by the likes of Harry Styles and Adele. His show was an equally star-studded affair that saw Florence Pugh put on a surprise performance, with Lisa Rinna spectating from the front row in a sequin flare ensemble.
On Friday, Lady Amelia Windsor was spotted at the Bora Aksu show in a pink ruffled dress that has become a signature for the brand. At Mark Fast, Laura Whitmore was sat front row wearing a graffiti-inspired sweater from the namesake brand. She was joined by actors Jordan Stephens and Layton Williams and models Lady Mary Charteris, Tigerlily Taylor and Betty Bachz.
Later that evening at Connor Ives, the London It-girls were out in force: influencer Camille Charriere, model and granddaughter of Keith Richards Ella Richards and Gen Z favourites Mia Regan and Edie Rose all looked effortlessly chic in bohemian-inspired ensembles.
Saturday started with Ahluwalia, whose front row included Arlo Parks, Munya Chawawa and Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock. But it was 16Arlington that drew the stars with industry stalwarts Edward Enninful and Jourdan Dunn sitting alongside Bridgerton actress Simone Ashley and girl group Flo, who have nailed the Destiny Child approach to matching dressing.
Richard Quinn had a particularly special guestlist for his collection presented in a makeshift trellis garden, blooming with fresh flowers. Love Island host Maya Jama took some time away from her villa duties to attend, looking glamorous in a gothic-inspired ensemble, and joined Ashley Graham who arrived in a statement blue catsuit.
Sunday saw US Vogue editor Anna Wintour attend shows, beginning with JW Anderson who took over Camden’s Roundhouse in collaboration with dancer and choreographer Michael Clark. She was joined by Naomi Campbell, Romeo Beckham and Netflix’s Heartstopper stars Yasmin Finney and Kit Conner.
Wintour was later spotted at the Erdem show, where attendees included Alexa Chung, Luther actress Ruth Wilson and the Brit awards rising star winner Griff, as well as at rising star S.S Daley’s collection, where a surprise perfromance from Ian McKellen made her chuckle.
Christopher Kane’s AW23 collection also drew a fantastic crowd on Sunday, with Jessie Ware and Princess Julia joining Poppy Delevingne and Alexa Chung in celebrating the Scottish designer’s new work.
And at cool girl label Nensi Dojaka, the party girls were out in their strappy, sheer looks by the Albanian designer. Pixie Geldof joined Ella Richards on the front benches, while Dua Lipa’s sister Rina, Sarah Lysander and Mia Regan also enjoyed the show.
This week, the best front row was certainly saved until last. Monday evening saw creative director Daniel Lee present his debut collection for Burberry, and attracted the UK’s finest to witness a fashion moment.
Stormzy, Jodie Comer and Skepta joined Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and husband Jason Statham in taking their seats, where tartan covered hot water bottles were waiting for them.
Liam Gallagher’s children Molly Moorish-Gallagher and Gene Gallagher attended to supprt their brother Lennon, who was walking the show, and sat with the model’s girlfriend Isobel Richmond to cheer him on.
Georgia May Jagger was seen beside her father, Mick Jagger’s, former wife Bianca, and the likes of Naomi Campbell, Sheila Atim and Dame Vanessa Redgrave finished off the all-star guestlist - the likes of which London Fashion Week has not seen for years.
