Jota to Celtic latest with transfer expected to be done 'this week'

Celtic are set to complete the permanent capture of Jota this week, according to reports.

Final rounds of talks are due to take place over a permanent £6.5million move from Benfica.

Jota has been a key figure at Celtic under Ange Postecoglou this season as he helped the Parkhead side recapture the Premiership title from Rangers and win the Premier Sports Cup.

And now the Daily Record say the Scottish champions have exercised the option in his original loan agreement to bring him in full time.

Personal terms are said to be agreed with an announcement imminent.

Jota netted 13 goals this campaign and have secured direct entry to the Champions League group stages due to their league triumph.

Cameron Carter-Vickers to Celtic is also edging closer with a similar arrangement in his deal as Jota's from Benfica.

He is currently on loan from Tottenham with personal terms said to be agreed with the USA international.

It's now down to Celtic and Spurs to get a deal done before his contract clause deadline.

Both deals are expected to get over the line with the duo key figures for Postecoglou.
