Jota has admitted he is relishing his next "adventure" after swapping Celtic for Al-Ittihad in a mega-money move to Saudi Arabia.
The exit of the Portuguese star has caught many supporters off guard after he impressed during his two seasons under Ange Postecoglou - penning a permanent £6.5m deal from Benfica last summer after a successful initial loan switch to the Scottish Premiership. However, he has swapped the prospect of Champions League football under Brendan Rodgers for the Saudi champions in a blockbuster move to the Middle East - with Celtic landing a fee in the region of £25million for the winger.
The 24-year-old will line up alongside Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante next season as part of the overhaul of the Saudi Pro League off the back of lifting a Treble in Scotland, following up on a title win and lifting the League Cup during his first campaign at Parkhead. Following his exit, he revealed his excitement behind the move.
Posting to Instagram, Jota said: "So excited to have join the Champions of Saudi and the biggest club in Asia. Can't wait to meet you all in Jeddah and thank you for the warm welcome. An adventure is about to start."
