Joss Stone reveals she has adopted a baby boy with husband Cody DaLuz and shares newborn's adorable name

Joss Stone and her husband Cody DaLuz have adopted a baby boy, Bear.

The couple, who are already parents to daughter Violet and son Shackleton, shared the joyful news on Instagram.

The British singer, 37, posted a heartwarming video of the moment they first met their son, as well as his sweet introduction to his siblings during Thanksgiving.

Stone wrote in the caption: “Happy mummy Mondays. This is what happened to us last Monday. We can not quite believe it. We are in love big time with this little guy.

“The reason why Cody even exists is because his bio mum loved him enough to make an adoption plan for him and the same goes for Bear.

“Honestly bio mothers do not get the gratitude they deserve. It is a more selfless love than I knew existed. Truly. We are just so happy to be part of this beautiful cycle.

“Please share your story's of adoption in the comments if you have any. And please welcome our gorgeous baby boy to this wonderful world xxxx.”

In 2023, Stone and her husband, 34, shared that they had begun the adoption process to grow their family.

The couple, who tied the knot last year, shared that they were undergoing the necessary steps to be approved as adoptive parents.

She previously told HELLO! magazine of the adoption process: “We're trying to do our home study. I hope we get to do it. I want, like, 25 kids.”

Elsewhere, Stone recently shared her plans to move back to Devon from Nashville, Tennessee, before her kids start school.

The singer said she wants them to have a similar childhood to hers, filled with experiences like riding horses, climbing trees, and being close to family.

She told the Sunday Times magazine: "We'll move home to Devon in time for Violet to go to school. I want my kids to have the kind of upbringing I did — riding horses, climbing trees and being near my family. I hope Cody likes it over there."

The You Had Me singer also revealed that parenthood has brought a “slower” pace to her life, and she's grateful for the “excuse” to reduce her hectic schedule.

She said: “Having kids makes you go slower. It's given me this wonderful excuse not to cram my schedule. Touring is different now...

“We always go by bus and travel at night, when the kids are asleep. I don't know how it's going to go with two of them because Cody's working as well. We don't want to enlist help but we might have to.”
