Croatia boss Zlatko Dalic has revealed Celtic star Josip Juranovic's place in his team for the World Cup is 'unquestionable' after his displays for the Hoops. The World Cup runners-up have two games this month in the Nations League against Denmark and Austria before they play at the Qatar Finals against Morocco, Canada and Belgium.
Juranovic is a key member of the Croats' defence, along with Rangers star Borna Barisic and is set to win his 21st cap. And boss Dalic has made it clear that Juranovic - who was linked with moves to English Premier League clubs - is ahead in the pecking order of Bayern Munich right back Josip Stanisic, because he is a regular for Celtic.
He said: "The candidates for right back in Qatar are Juranovic and Stanisic. Juranovic's place for the World Cup squad is unquestionable. Stanisic is in the squad because although he is not playing at Bayern Munich at the moment, he did well in our last matches against Denmark and France. I hope he will play at Bayern in the future.
"Sime Vrsaljko has retired from international football which was the correct decision because he has been struggling with injuries for four years. He is aware we have good, young players coming through. His contribution will always be remembered by us. So we are well covered in defence."
