Josip Juranovic in smirking Celtic transfer address after pointed Croatian media 'new step' poser

Celtic favourite Josip Juranovic has laughed off questions over his future at Parkhead.

The full-back has made an instant impact since arriving at Celtic Park last summer and lifted both the Scottish Premiership title and Premier Sports Cup.

Ange Postecoglou will be desperate to keep the Croatia international in his squad for the next campaign with a Champions League group stage return just around the corner.

And Juranovic doesn't appear to be in any rush to head for the exit door.

The 28-year-old is representing his country in the Nations League and fielded questions over his time at Celtic so far.

He said: “I enjoy Celtic. I had a break due to injury for six and a half weeks, but I’m fine now.

“I won the title with Celtic and I can’t feel better than I do.

"I started my career, I won the championship in Poland and now in Scotland and I can’t wait to get back to Glasgow again for the new season. It is great for me at Celtic.”

He was then asked if he would be looking for a "new step" this summer and a third championship in a different country.

Speaking to 24Sata , he laughed: "We'll see, it's not up to me! I'm happy at Celtic."

For the time being, Juranovic has international commitments to fulfil as faces a tough test tonight against high-flying Denmark.

He continued: “If we are concentrated, we can match everyone, as was seen against France. Just like we didn’t have our day against Austria. It's better to have happened right away, to warn us.

“Ask the players, no one is ever happy with a draw in advance. We can do more. We will try to win and make up for the defeat by Austria.”
