Josh Rock is already celebrating at Ally Pally – after putting a ‘sparkling rock’ on his fiancee’s finger.
The Ballymena darts star faces Callan Rydz in the second round at the PDC World Championship on Wednesday night hoping to keep the party mood alive following his engagement to fiancee Sarah earlier this month.
Rock, Northern Ireland’s rising talent, faces Rydz – last year’s surprise quarter-finalist – in good heart, explaining: “After I won the World Youth title, she threw a surprise party at our local club.

“I thought it was the right time to pop the question – and she said yes. Things move very fast and there is a good rock on her finger, I can assure you.
“It felt right because she was with me before I became professional and sorted out my head the right way. I have to give her so much credit.
“She is a bit older than me and she thinks things through the right way. She has helped a lot.”
If Rock, joint fifth favourite to lift the Sid Waddell Trophy with the bookies at 14-1, beats Rydz he will take a chance on post- Christmas travel disruption by flying home for Christmas.
He said: “I will go home on Thursday and then book a return flight on Boxing Day. I’d rather spend time with my missus and family at home for Christmas.
"I will take the risk. Family means more to me than darts.”
