Bologna could return to raid the Scottish Premiership yet again after being linked with Josh Campbell and a pair of Aberdeen leading lights.
The Hibs midfielder has nine goals and five assists across 34 appearances for Lee Johnson’s men, who are in a battle to finish in the top six alongside Livingston and St Mirren, and also have their eyes on a European spot if they can secure a top half finish.
Il Rossoblu have gone shopping in Scotland, even the capital before. They paid £13.5million to take Aaron Hickey from across the city at Hearts nearly three years ago, and the now Scotland star has since made a big money move to English Premiership outfit Brentford. The Serie A club returned to these shores last summer to sign Lewis Ferguson. The former Aberdeen man has netted four times since making the move to the Italian peninsula and has been linked with a move to the likes of Juventus, Lazio and Milan in recent months.
Campbell’s former Easter Road teammate Josh Doig is also playing in Italy with Hellas Verona. Now Il Resto Del Carlino claim Campbell could be taking the same path as Bologna make midfield plans for the summer. The paper also states that Aberdeen’s Bojan Miovski and Duk are potential targets as they look to further mine the Scottish market for gems.
