Jose Mourinho vents Roma fury as Special One hits back at rumours he could face the boot after poor results

Fuming Jose Mourinho insists there's no truth in the rumour he could leave Roma before his first season is out, as he branded reports of his departure "journalism without ethics".

The Giallorossi lie in seventh place in Serie A, six points off a Champions League place and below their city rivals Lazio.

They've won just three of their last nine in all competitions after spending big to bring Mourinho back to Italy in the summer, and it's been reported that an early divorce could be on the cards.

But, speaking after his side bagged a 94th-minute equaliser to draw 2-2 with 10-man Sassuolo, the former Manchester United boss turned on the media.

Mourinho told DAZN: "It's fifth-rate journalism, journalism without ethics, journalism without the essence of journalism which is the truth.

"The quality we have that cannot be questioned is our togetherness, we're unbeatable in that.

"We can be poor, I can be too, but no-one can say we're not a united group, no-one can damage this team.

"We may have technical limitations, the second goal we conceded will give me nightmares as will some other incidents, but we're a very united group."
