Roma are ready to make an offer to Paris Saint-German to sign former Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum in a loan deal with an option to buy for £8m.
That's according to Il Messaggero, who report that with Jose Mourinho having already secured the services of Paulo Dybala from Juventus on a free transfer, the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager has now turned his attentions to Wijnaldum for his next Roma signing.
PSG appear willing to unload the former Reds hero after just a season at the club. It is a season that ended with Wijnaldum. being named the 'Ligue 1 Flop of the Year'.
HITC claim that the 31-year-old Holland international is also a target for Everton. Blues boss Frank Lampard is desperate to improve his squad having only brought in James Tarkowski from Burnley so far this summer. A new midfielder is definitely on Lampard's radar. However, it is not clear whether Wijnaldum is someone he would consider.
The Dutchman, who has lost his place in the Holland squad due to a lack of playing time at PSG, left Liverpool last summer after failing to agree on a new contract at the club. He was a staple in the Reds midfield and won the Champions League and Premier League at Anfield.
