Jose Mourinho confronted a reporter who had hit him with criticism ahead of AS Roma's match against Sampdoria, claiming he "s*** himself" in his presence.
Roma have gone nine matches unbeaten in Serie A but four of them have been draws in a season where much was expected at the Stadio Olimpico.
The club splashed the cash in the summer to bring in The Special One, as well as plenty of signings such as Tammy Abraham, Rui Patricio and Marash Kumbulla.
But while they have proved hard to beat, Roma are sitting seventh in the table when a top-four position was being tipped at the start of the season. They sit seven points behind fourth-placed Juventus while Lazio and Atalanta also sit ahead of them.
And not everyone is happy with Mourinho's reign including several local reporters. There had been talk of the Portuguese coach getting the axe earlier in the campaign despite Roma's recent success over their local rivals in a 3-1 win that included an Abraham brace.
Journalist Alessandro Austini had took to Italian radio to berate the former Manchester United manager with some stern words and was present at his press conference on Saturday. After Austini asked Mourinho a question, the 59-year-old got his chance to fire back.
In response to his question, Mourinho said: "I was expecting a much more aggressive question, more negative and violent after I listened to you on the radio. I didn't expect such an easy question. My conclusion is that you are much more aggressive and violent on the radio but when you come here you s*** yourself a little bit in front of me."

Roma face Bodo/Glimt, who had earlier thrashed them in the group stage in a humiliating 6-1 drubbing. That was the beginning of the discontent in the Italian capital while Mourinho reacted with fury in his dressing room.
"We have a very good team, we don't have a very good squad," Mourinho told Sky in Italy. "Today, we didn't play with the team, we played with the squad, and we were punished by that. If I could use the same players every match I would. It's risky because there's a huge gulf between our first choice and second choice players. I expected better, but it's my responsibility."
