Jose Ibarra appeared in court on the third day of his trial for the killing of college student Laken Riley. He was dressed in a blue button-down shirt and black pants, with shackles only at his feet.
As the proceedings began, rain started to fall in Athens, with heavy rain expected for the remainder of the day.
Over 20 individuals, including family, friends, and classmates of Laken Riley, were present in the courtroom on Tuesday. Among them were Riley's parents, mother Allyson Phillips, stepfather John Phillips, and father William Jason Riley.
