Jose Cifuentes appears to have handed a nod to Rangers fans that he IS heading to Glasgow - once again.
The Ecuadorian midfielder has said thank you to LAFC after their CONCACAF Champions League exit to Leon, leaving him open to completting a move to Michael Beale's side. It has been heavily speculated that he will arrive as part of the Ibrox rebuild and sources in his homeland claimed he would make the Premiership move after those LAFC matches were over.
And now the midfielder has poured fuel on the transfer rumour fire by liking a range of messages that welcome him to Rangers. Under his message to his current club in the MLS, Cifuentes liked messages such as 'see you at Rangers', 'see you soon at Rangers', 'next stop Glasgow', 'play for the badge and the fans will love you' and 'hopefully by the time your Ecuador games are over you will be ready for your flight to Glasgow to join the Famous .'
His initial message read: "Give your best, wish for the best and always pray to God for better things. Thank you LAFC family and amazing fans @lafc3252 for all the support."
It comes after a similar string of social media activity when links first grew legs last month. Among several tweets congratulating him on the move which was seemingly imminent at the time, he liked one captioned "like this tweet if you're signing for the biggest club in Glasgow" and another captioned "welcome to Rangers Jose" - a not so subtle hint that a move is on the brink.
