Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has confirmed what Mo Salah said to him as he prepared to take his penalty in the Carabao Cup final with Liverpool on Sunday.
The Egyptian's attempted mind games did not pay off, as the Italian buried his penalty in a typically composed fashion - although Liverpool did go on to lift the trophy.
Kepa Arrizabalaga, who replaced Edouard Mendy at the end of extra time, skied his penalty and handed the Reds their first domestic tournament victory since 2012.
It marked the fifth final in a row that Chelsea had lost at Wembley following FA Cup final defeats to Arsenal and Leicester across the last two campaigns.
Jorginho is somewhat of a specialist from the penalty spot, with his hop before taking the final kick to try and fool the goalkeeper becoming a trademark.
It has not always proven successful, however.
At Euro 2020, the move booked Italy's place in the final by fooling Spain goalkeeper Unai Simon. But in the final, Jordan Pickford was not to be fooled and saved the 30-year-old's attempt.
But he still boasts an impressive record from the spot, scoring 38 and missing just six.
As he stepped up to take his kick against Caoimhin Kelleher, he walked past Salah who had just converted from 12 yards.
In footage from the game, Salah could be seen muttering something to Jorginho as they crossed, and Jorginho has now confirmed that he said: "Don't jump."
He confirmed as much in an interview with Sky Italia, shared by the broadcaster on Instagram.
