Jorginho's agent has once again spoken about regarding the Italian's future at Chelsea. The 31-year-old can negotiate a pre-contract away from the club in January when his deal enters the final six months.
Chelsea are trying to revamp their midfield and are looking at younger, more physical presences in front of their defence but Jorginho was still chosen to start against Bournemouth as the Premier League returned. He played the full match having not been away on international duty with Italy.
He was supported by the box-to-box impact of Denis Zakaria around him, though, as Graham Potter attempts to find the right balance throughout his team. Enzo Fernandez is seen as a possible heir to his midfield position and the Blues have made progress with a bid to sign him.
