Jorge Masvidal willing to fight "leftovers" Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz

Jorge Masvidal is open to potential fights with Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz after branding the pair "leftovers".

'GameBred' will face Colby Covington this weekend at UFC 272, competing in the octagon for the first time in nearly a year after losing to Kamaru Usman last April.

Diaz is currently without an opponent for the final fight of his UFC contract while McGregor is recovering from a broken leg suffered in July last year.

Masvidal has admitted he would like to "bash their faces in" and is willing to headline a pay-per-view with Diaz or McGregor.

"Definitely not a bad group to be in," Masvidal told The Fight Fan with Pete Hoffman. "Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor , I couldn't care less for both of those f***ing leftovers.

"Dustin Poirier, man I got respect for that dude, man. The guy's a f***ing stud. Not that the other guys that I mentioned aren't great fighters, but I would like to bash their faces in more than anything. Especially that Conor, he talks so much.

"And Nate Diaz says he wants a rematch. Maybe after this fight I can break his f***ing face in, you know, when I got some down time. Because I don't know what the champ is going to be doing.

"While the champ is fighting somebody else, I don't mind beating up any of one these a**holes up and headlining another pay-per-view without no problem."

Masvidal is looking to put himself back into world title contention with a victory over Covington this weekend, and he currently holds the 'BMF' belt earned in his previous victory over Diaz.

He has also been embroiled in an exchange of words with McGregor in recent months, with the Irishman admitting he would be keen to get hold of the belt.

McGregor has admitted the weight for his return is currently uncertain and he could even return at 170lbs alongside Masvidal.

This would open up a potential future bout with a trilogy between McGregor and Diaz also in the pipeline.

The trio are known for their entertaining performances and high-level pay-per-view draws in the promotion.

UFC legend Chael Sonnen believes the trio should quit the UFC after their successes and create an "elitist group" to earn maximum wealth.

"Stop trying to be the world champion, stop," Sonnen told his YouTube channel. Stop. You, Conor McGregor and anybody with the last name of Diaz, you get to play by different rules.

"You're the only ones. You three knuckle heads go find each other and don't look for anybody else. Nobody gets to come up into your elitist group because nobody's done as good a job as you guys have.

"It makes all the sense in the world. Jorge Masvidal and Conor and anybody named Diaz, they are above the champions, they're above the fray, they're above the pay-per-view points, they're above the sold out arenas."
