Jorge Masvidal does not expect "b****" Conor McGregor to accept a UFC fight despite their recent feud.
Masvidal and McGregor have traded verbal barbs on social media this week, after 'Gamebred' produced a fresh call-out for an octagon clash. The 37-year-old is keen to stage a meeting after McGregor confirmed his plans to make a switch to 170lb.
However, Masvidal has claimed McGregor wants him to fight at 155lb which he is not willing to accept. "He wants to stay relevant so he takes shots, but he’s not going to fight," Masvidal told the MMA Hour. "The UFC has offered him this fight, as you and me both know this could be the biggest fight in UFC history, why would he not want to cash in on that paycheck? Because he knows I’m going to beat the f*** out of him.
"I’m not a wrestler so if I beat him it really looks bad for his brand because I’m only going to beat him one way, f****** in his face, standing up, punching him, knocking his ass out. It’s not going to be good for the Conor brand or his cheap a** whiskey. So that little b**** has to do what he has to do and take to Twitter and talk s***.
"But when they offer him the contract he says stupid f****** things that can’t happen. He wants me to go down to 155, for starters, I’m not going to go down to 155 for this c***sucker, you’ve fought at 170, why am I going down to 155? I haven’t been in that weight class for five, six years I can’t physically make it anywhere.”
Masvidal's agent Malki Kawa has previously claimed that McGregor has rejected offers to fight Masvidal after UFC president Dana White distanced himself from the bout due to the size difference. Kawa has recently admitted he will try again to stage a fight between the pair with McGregor set to make a comeback this year.

McGregor later responded to Masvidal's recent call-outs by branding him a "pigeon brain" on social media as their war of words continued. Masvidal then fired back accusing him of being too "scared" to accept a UFC showdown.
Masvidal has since reiterated his claim suggesting that McGregor is fearful of his striking power. "He [McGregor] wants to do things that are just not real and then he wants to talk s***. I’ll entertain the s*** talking from time to time when I get bored but we both know he’s not fighting nobody,” Masvidal continued.
“Dana White called it a long-ass time ago, I’m too much man, too much size as Dana says and it’s stuck with him. He knows when we get in there we are both striking it up I’m going to crack his ass. Conor knows I got f****** power and I’m not going to get tired throwing blows.”
