Jorge Kahwagi Macari, the Mexican businessman who moved between politics, professional boxing and reality television in a public career unlike almost any other in the country, died Wednesday at 58.
His death was confirmed by Mexican Sen. Manuel Velasco, who served alongside Kahwagi in Mexico's Chamber of Deputies, and by actor and businessman Roberto Palazuelos. "I deeply regret the death of my friend Jorge Kahwagi Macari, with whom I served as a federal deputy in the LIX Legislature," Velasco wrote, offering condolences to his family and friends.
