A recent incident at the Marine Corps base in Quantico involving two Jordanian nationals attempting to breach the facility has raised concerns about national security. The incident, which occurred on May 3rd, saw the two men driving a box truck and ignoring instructions to stop at the gate. Vehicle denial barriers had to be deployed to halt the truck, and the individuals were subsequently detained and turned over to ICE.
Although no weapons were found in the vehicle, the men claimed to be working for an Amazon subcontractor, a statement that has not been confirmed by Amazon. ICE has stated that the individuals are amenable to removal and are currently undergoing removal proceedings.
