Jordan Travis Bids Farewell to Florida State After Season-Ending Leg Injury

Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis bid a farewell to fans Monday in a statement released by the school amid the senior’s devastating leg injury suffered Saturday against North Alabama. His career as a Seminole is officially over.

“Although the injury I sustained on November 18th, 2023, marks the end of my Seminole playing career, the great memories created here at FSU will never fade,” he wrote in a statement. “Being the quarterback here at Florida State University has been a dream come true. I am humbled, honored and forever grateful.”

The signal-caller has yet to declare for the NFL draft, but he leaves his college career behind with a lot of what-ifs in regards to his team’s chase for a national championship. The Seminoles (11–0) were dropped by one spot out of the AP Poll Sunday and are now No. 5, which would be one spot outside the College Football Playoff if those rankings correspond.

It remains to be seen whether the CFP rankings will keep them in the top four, but without Travis, the team’s hopes of winning it all took a major hit. The team’s next game will be Saturday against Florida (5–6) at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
