A man stabbed to death in north west London was grieving for his mother who died from cancer earlier this year, his family revealed.

Police found Jordan Stuart, 37, with knife wounds just before 7am in Grove Avenue, Pinner on Thursday.

His brother Adam, 39, from Colchester, visited the crime scene and described Mr Stuart as a “lovely bubbly guy” who was about leave London in two days to work for his architectural signage business.

He said: “We lost our mother recently and he was devastated. I’ve had to bury my mum and now my brother. I’m heartbroken.”

Scotland Yard said a man, in his 30s, arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody.

Neighbours described hearing shouting and a “piercing scream”.

Forensics officers trawled the area while homicide detectives carried out door to door inquiries.

Mr Stuart came from a “tight-knit” family and had five brothers and sisters.

Meanwhile, police have named Emmanuel Odunlami, 32, as the victim of a fatal stabbing yards from St Paul’s Cathedral.

Mr Odunlami was discovered injured in Gresham Street at 11.30pm on Sunday.

One person arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed.

His death is being investigated by City of London Police in its first murder investigation for seven years.

It also means every force policing the capital – the Met,  British Transport and City of London Police – have had at least one homicide in 2022.

Commander Umer Khan said: “Our thoughts and condolences are with Emmanuel’s friends and family at this difficult time.

“We are continuing to appeal for any information, no matter how small it may seem, to help with our enquiries. Even the smallest piece of information may be significant to our investigation.”
