Just hours after being dealt to the Wizards for Chris Paul, Jordan Poole appeared to mark the end of his time on the Warriors with a curious move on social media involving ex-teammate Draymond Green.
Internet sleuths were quick to point out following Thursday’s trade that Poole’s list of followers on Instagram curiously omitted only Green out of his now former teammates. As of Thursday night, the star forward has, interestingly, yet to return the favor.
While it’s possible the two were never connected on the platform, Poole seemingly unfollowing Green right after the deal suggests bygones may not be bygones. Which, as expected, many suggested due to the pair’s now infamous altercation at a preseason practice in October that led to Green punching Poole.

Green and Poole’s dynamic remained a topic of discussion in the months after video of their exchange leaked online, becoming a looming cloud over the team that both players addressed following the season.
Although Poole downplayed the effect of the incident on the team, Green admitted he believed it led to Golden State’s second-round exit at the hands of the Lakers. ESPN also reported in May that team sources claimed the tension had “never really gone away.”
Needless to say, despite the public perception, there appears to be some unsettled differences between Green and Poole, who also spoke on his response to the situation in May.
“I don’t speak on it much. But I will say … you’ve got to have a different level of maturity. We had a season to play. You’re going to have to play with these people in the locker room, and that’s why I said maturity is a big thing,” Poole told ESPN.
