Captain Jordan Pickford believes Everton snatching a last-gasp equaliser at Wolverhampton Wanderers could be “massive” for them.
Going into the last few seconds of their final away game of the campaign against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux, the Blues looked destined to suffer a defeat after falling behind to Hwang Hee-Chan’s goal in the 37th minute but they snatched a share of the spoils when Yerry Mina netted from close range in the last of the nine allotted minutes of stoppage time. Pickford reckons the late leveller could now make a huge difference to their survival hopes.
He told the club’s website: “The manner in how we got a point at Wolves on Saturday is great for our belief. We would have liked to have won but a point’s better than zero and we showed character and didn’t give up.
