Jordan Love leads 17-point comeback win in first career start at Lambeau Field

In his first start at Lambeau Field, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love led a furious fourth-quarter rally and stunned the New Orleans Saints 18-17 on Sunday during Week 3 of the 2023 season.

Down 17-0 in the fourth quarter, Love led the Packers on three different scoring drives, including back-to-back 80-yard touchdown drives. His 8-yard touchdown pass to Romeo Doubs gave the Packers an 18-17 lead, and a missed field goal by the Saints clinched the comeback win.

Love completed 22 of 44 passes for 259 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He rushed nine times for a team-high 39 yards, including a crucial 1-yard touchdown on fourth down on the second scoring drive in the fourth quarter. Love also found Samori Toure on a two-point play, which gave the Packers a chance to win the game with a touchdown on the next drive.

Despite three quarters of futility, Love was able to kneel down three times to clinch his first ever win at Lambeau Field.

Unbelievably, the Packers are 2-1. After blowing a 12-point lead in Atlanta last week, the Packers made amends with an incredible fourth quarter on Sunday against one of the NFL’s best defenses.

The comeback is the Packers’ best since an injured Aaron Rodgers led Green Bay back from 20-0 down in Week 1 in 2018.
