Jordan Henderson has refused to give anything away when asked for an update on Mohamed Salah's Liverpool contract talks - expect to admit it would be 'nice' if the forward committed his long-term future to the club.
Salah has been in fine form for Liverpool this season, scoring 27 times in 33 appearances in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp's side.
The ECHO understands that negotiations are ongoing between the forward's representatives and the club, with Salah in the final two years of his current deal that was signed in 2018.
The Reds are keen to reward the Egyptian for his continued outstanding contribution since arriving from Roma for £43.9million in the summer of 2017.

The Reds have extended the contracts of several players in recent months, but Salah is yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal unlike many of his team-mates.
And during an appearance on BT Sport's Between The Line, Rio Ferdinand asked Henderson for an update on the Salah contract situation.
"Any sign of that new deal?" asked Ferdinand, in which Henderson replied: "That’d be nice."
Ferdinand also asked Henderson if he thought his team-mate was the best player in the world at this moment time as he continues to impress for club and country.
“For me yeah, but I’ll be biased wont I,” the England international replied to the question by the former Manchester United defender.
Before he added: “But for me he’s been phenomenal for a number of seasons. The numbers that he’s got – goals, assists.
"But even his general play, his work rate for the team, his leadership within the group, he’s an outstanding player and hopefully he can just keep going from strength to strength and help us to be more successful in the future.”
