Liverpool fans in Singapore finally got to see a trademark celebration from Jordan Henderson in person after the win over Crystal Palace.
The Reds ran out 2-0 winners over the Eagles in their pre-season friendly at the National Stadium in Singapore. Henderson opened the scoring in the first half, before Mohamed Salah doubled Liverpool’s advantage with a deflected effort soon after the interval.
Goals from Henderson and Salah were the first from Liverpool during the pre-season tour, following their 4-0 defeat to Manchester United earlier in the week. It also saw The Reds claim their first victory of pre-season, as well as a trophy, of sorts.

Beating Crystal Palace saw Liverpool claim the Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy. After full-time there was a trophy presentation where Henderson was handed the silverware to celebrate with his team-mates. As has become tradition when lifting trophies, Henderson performed his trademark ‘shuffle’ before holding the silverware aloft. The whole Liverpool squad, including manager Jurgen Klopp, was also involved with the trophy presentation celebrations.
With their pre-season fixtures in South East Asia now complete, Liverpool will now return to Merseyside for their next stage of training. A camp in Austria awaits the Reds later this month, as well as a match in Germany before flying back to England in time for the Community Shield on July 30.
