The Philadelphia Eagles gained some more Georgia football fans this spring when they selected former Bulldogs Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith and Kelee Ringo in the 2023 NFL draft.
The Dawgs were already represented well in Philadelphia by former Bulldogs Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean, who are headed into their second pro season.
Davis and Carter’s impact on the Georgia defensive line was immeasurable during their two seasons together in Athens, and according to Davis, the chemistry with Carter picks up right where it left off.
“That’s my brother. It’s not like a mentor-mentee role, but it is more like a brotherhood.

“I’m like, ‘Hey, let’s get freaky,’” Davis told Chris Franklin of NJ.com. “If I want to jab inside, then make sure you cover me. Just stuff like that. He had three-plus years of experience with that at Georgia, so I could look at him a certain kind of way he gets the message.”
Davis and Carter, along with Dean, Ringo and Smith, were all a large part of the Bulldogs 2021 record-breaking defense and it’s easy to see why the Eagles chose to reunite that model in Philadelphia.
