EXPERIENCED Scots endurance racer Jonny Adam will be joining the fray at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona this weekend.
The Kirkcaldy 37-year-old will be part of the Magnus Racing team driving an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 in the GTD class.
Among his rivals will be Forfar’s Sandy Mitchell, on board a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo, while Airdrie’s Ryan Dalziel will compete for Era Motorsport in the LMP2 category.
Meanwhile, McAMS Yamaha rider Tarran Mackenzie has undergone successful surgery to his fractured right ankle following a training incident.
The 2021 British Superbike Champion also dislocated his right shoulder in a fall while riding his R1 track bike at the Cartagena circuit in Spain.
But the team expects that the Stirlingshire 26-year-old will be fit for the first official Bennetts British Superbike test at the end of March.
Meanwhile, former F1 ace Sir Jackie Stewart and rallying great Jimmy McRae have both received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Motorsport UK.
