In the midst of a high-profile holdout and recovering from offseason ankle surgery, Colts star Jonathan Taylor appeared to hint a potential return to the team Friday on social media.
The disgruntled running back shared a brief yet eyebrow-raising post on his Instagram stories showing him running a route at the Colts practice facility. Adding even more fuel to the already raging rumor mill surrounding Taylor, who’s currently on the physically unable to perform list, is the video’s caption, which simply reads: “Loading.…”.
With Taylor not eligible to return from the PUP list until Week 5, the 24-year-old’s decision to work out on team grounds amid tension with Colts brass over his future indicates he’s, at least, working toward receiving clearance to play—a move that could either help repair the sour relationship or re-open the door for a possible blockbuster trade.

While Friday’s video may excite Colts fans, Indy doesn’t appear any closer to finding a resolution on Taylor’s outstanding July trade request following a failure to agree to terms on a new contract during the offseason.
As Taylor’s status remains in flux heading into Week 2, Indianapolis, following a season-opening home loss to the Jaguars, will look to rebound on Sunday without its top rusher on the road against the Texans.
