Michigan State head coach Jonathan Smith and the Spartans showed their support for teammate Armorion Smith by attending the service for his late mother on Monday.
Spartan Tailgate of 247Sports shared a video of Jonathan Smith and Spartans walking into the service for Gala Gilliam, the mother of Armorion Smith. Gilliam passed away last week after a two-year-long battle with breast cancer, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Armorion Smith transferred to Michigan State from Cincinnati in the offseason. He is originally from River Rouge, Mich.
