Lille striker Jonathan David has hinted over the possibility of a move to the Premier League after reports that Graham Potter identified the Canadian as potential attacking reinforcement at Chelsea.
David, 22, has been linked with a move away from Ligue 1 over the course of the past couple of seasons after hitting the ground running. The striker joined Lille from Belgian side KAA Gent in 2020 and has scored 41 goals in 108 appearances.
Amid ongoing reports linking Cristiano Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge, David has been named as one of Graham Potter's preferred names alongside AC Milan's Rafael Leao and Brentford's Ivan Toney. Todd Boehly's continued wish of bringing the Manchester United striker to West London looks set to be rejected by the Blues boss as he aims to re-jiggle his frontline.

David, who is preparing to feature in next month's World Cup with Canada, has found himself on the radar of many of Europe's top clubs. And after netting nine goals in 12 Ligue 1 appearances, talk of a near-future move away from the Stade Pierre-Mauroy has intensified.
But what is the player's stance on his future? In an interview with Sky Sports [via Football Daily], the 22-year-old admitted his aim of playing for a 'massive club' in the future. He said: "For me, I was always watching European football on TV and that was always the goal to go to Europe.
"The next step is growing, having more ambition and a bigger club. Every player wants to play for a massive club in their life, so I think if I had the chance to do it, I'll go for it for sure.
"I think they're two different leagues [Premier League and La Liga], I think I can adapt to both for sure, the experience I've had in France it can help me adapt to some place else a lot faster. I think both leagues suit me."
